I’ve created a collection of small-scale installations exploring the consumer relationship to luxury brands (in which the Chanel logo is featured as a symbol for branding and deluxe). In the world of extravagant products, experience and perception of the brand isfar more important than the utility of the product. The consumers attribute a value based on personal familiarity and association, which tends to generate an intimate and loyal relationship.
The series Smell & Taste Deluxe is constructed of delicious food and lavish
floral arrangements into high relief couture. The compositions encourage the viewer to explore her imagination and to invite the senses of taste and smell for an even
profounder personal connection to the brand. Alternatively the viewer can look beyond the featured object and simply enjoy the view.
