Vladimir Velickovic was born in 1935 in Belgrade.
He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Belgrade. Very soon Velickovic got intrested in painting, and after his graduation the creative activity as an artist gradually prevailed.
Velickovic obtained the prize of the "Biennale des Jeunes" in Paris in 1965, and the following year he moved to Paris, where he still living and working.
Velickovic has held an important part in the development of the "Nouvelle Figuration". He has exhibited his works in a great number of European countries as well as in the U.S.A., and one can see his images in many museums. Velickovic is also teaching as Professor of painting at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
